Our commitment is to get you to your destination in the safest, most efficient and comfortable manner possible. Here at Alta Flights safety is our top priority. With a nationally recognized system of ensuring that safety is maintained (Transport Canada approved SMS system) our safety standards go well beyond the norm for private aviation safety.

Most of our pilots have ten to twenty years of flight experience and all pilots are required to have annual or semi-annual medicals and training specific to the aircraft flown. Many pilots are qualified on more than one type of aircraft and receive recurrent training every year.

Safety Management System (SMS)

Through our SMS program, safety has become an integral operational priority which promotes the use of best practices to reduce or eliminate accidents and incidents entirely. Non-punitive safety reporting policy fosters an environment where our personnel feel safe in reporting hazardous conditions

SMS aims to improve operational safety through pro-active risk management Hazards are analyzed and an unbiased study of facts are used to determine the root of the incident and to formulate corrective and preventative actions Nurtures a culture in which safety, quality, professionalism and open communication is a way of life
