Safe flight operations are the first priority at Alta Flights Charters. Consistently striving to be the aviation “Centre of Excellence”, Alta Flights Charters is committed to delivering our customers to their destination in the safest, most efficient and comfortable manner possible.

We at Alta Flights take safety very seriously and are proactively managing operational hazards through our Safety Management System (SMS). Our company is committed to meeting our business objectives in the most efficient manner by nurturing a culture in which safety, quality, professionalism and open communication are a way of life. This approachto safety is carried out through our policies, from our accountable Executive to all departmental levels of operation. It is also important to mention that our system not only addresses present Canadian Aviation Regulations objectives but also looks to the future. This was achieved by structuring our system using quality assurance framework.

The Alta Flights team of experienced and knowledgeable personnel enables our company to operate safely and manage the risks and challenges associated with our diverse field of flight and maintenance operations. We employ over 40 professionally qualified Captains and First Officers, a fleet of over 30 various types of aircraft and over 100 personnel in our bases in Edmonton and Calgary.

Alta Flights ensures that every employee is trained and competent to perform their duties and that every employee is responsible for safety within the scope of their job description.

Many of our pilots have ten to twenty years of flight experience. All pilots are required to have annual or semi-annual medicals and flight checks specific to the aircraft type flown. Many are qualified on more than one type of aircraft.

One of our divisions, Flight Tech Aviation, is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO # 119-93) which oversees both of our Edmonton and Calgary bases. They provide all of the in-house maintenance of the Alta Flights fleet as well as other private and corporate aircraft.
